The broad scope of the Criminal Justice program prepares students for entry-level careers in corrections, law enforcement, and/or security. Students examine the legal process from law enforcement, to the courts, and through the corrections system as well as its effect upon society. Graduates from either track may seek careers as corrections officers, court clerks, juvenile specialists, probation support assistants, or security professionals in business, industry, and government. In the more specialized Track II, graduates demonstrate proficiency in firearms, driving, arrest, search and seizure techniques, and crowd management. The typical graduate will seek employment as a law enforcement officer.
