Cabrillo College, named after the explorer Juan Cabrillo, is a community college in Aptos, California. It is one of 109 public community colleges in the state of California. The college opened in 1959. In addition to its main campus, it includes the Watsonville Center which serves approximately 2,300 students, and the Scotts Valley Center opened for the Spring semester of 2007. Cabrillo College has an enrollment of over 16,000 students, of whom more than a third attend full time.
