College Profile for: Chabot College
Chabot College is one of California's community colleges, located in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area. The campus is in Hayward, California, just a few miles away from California State University, East Bay. The campus features the 200-seat Little Theatre, the 1,432-seat Performing Arts Center, a full-size planetarium, four major athletic fields, and an Olympic-size swimming pool. The campus is built around a central plaza, and is surrounded by trees. Chabot also has a child care program and a state-of-the-art chemistry and computer science building. The college hosts a flea market on the third Saturday of each month. The most notable alumnus is Academy Award winning actor, Tom Hanks.
