Victor Valley College (VVC for short) is a community college located on Bear Valley Road in Victorville, California. The college was created by a vote of the public in 1960 and the first classes were held in 1961 at the near-by campus of Victor Valley High School. The original student body consisted of only 500 students with a 15-member faculty and staff. The 253-acre (1.02 km2) campus started construction in 1963 and was opened to students in 1965. The campus has since expanded to include a new technical complex, the Performing Arts Center, a new gymnasium, parking lots and other buildings since then.
