Kirtland Community College is a two-year public college, located in Roscommon County, Michigan. Founded in accordance with provisions of Public Act 188 of the Michigan Public Acts of 1955 in 1966. It is the largest Michigan community college district, totaling 2,500 square miles and consisting of all or part of nine counties. Approximately 65,000 people reside within the district. Kirtland Community College is accredited by the Michigan Commission on College Accreditation and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The college also holds membership in the Michigan Community College Association and the American Association of Community Colleges.
