North Hennepin Community College (NHCC) is a community college located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. The college was established in 1966 under the name North Hennepin State Junior College and held its first classes in Osseo Junior High School in Osseo, Minnesota. In 1969, the college moved to its current location at 7411 85th Avenue in Brooklyn Park and in 1972 changed to its current name. Asbestos was found in the Brooklyn Park building. The campus is an 84 acre (340,000 m²) site consisting of nine brick buildings, a central courtyard, accessible parking lots, and a nature preserve area. North Hennepin Community College is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and offers coursework as well as pre-professional programs for transfer to baccalaureate programs...
