As a leader in funeral service education for 80 years, AAMI provides and supports the educational needs of the funeral industry.
AAMI is an urban, not-for-profit, private, single-purpose academic institution dedicated to the educational needs of the funeral industry. AAMI provides educational leadership through learning opportunities that anticipate, prepare for and meet the challenges of educating a socially and economically diverse population. AAMI provides opportunities for students, faculty and staff to study, research and observe the culture and customs of the changing dynamics of the funeral profession.
AAMI has 80 years experience in funeral education and thousands of funeral directors have graduated from our school. As a leader in funeral education we take our role in shaping the future of the funeral industry very seriously.
AAMI is located in the heart of New York City and draws upon an experienced and diverse faculty and administration to teach our students. The faculty is largely comprised of experienced licensed funeral directors who have achieved further expertise in the field of education.
The AAMI campus is located in “The Movie Lab” building just one block from the Hudson River. The entire premise is well-lighted, ventilated and air-conditioned, providing a cheerful and comfortable atmosphere during all seasons of the year.
