It was established in 1865 by Asa Packer as a four-year technical school and has grown to include four diverse colleges. The university comprises over 4,600 undergraduate students, 2,000 graduate students, almost 600 professors, and almost 1,500 administrative professionals. The university has four colleges: the P.C.
