The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (also known as UW-Green Bay, UWGB or GB) is a public university located in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. It is part of the University of Wisconsin System. UW–Green Bay was founded in 1965 and originally had an environmental emphasis, but now offers a wide array of degrees. It is unusual among Wisconsin's public universities in that it does not have a football team, due to advice from Vince Lombardi citing high costs and the fact that the city already hosted the Green Bay Packers.
