Located just a few miles north of downtown Hattiesburg and less than an hour from the Gulfport on State Highway 49, Antonelli College Hattiesburg boasts a newly renovated state of the art facility in which students learn the skills and tools they need to succeed in their chosen field. Students at Antonelli College have access to a variety of Programs of Study with small class sizes and flexible scheduling. Antonelli College has developed partnerships with several major local employers to enhance on campus education and aid in career placement.

The primary goal of Antonelli College is to create an environment that prepares each graduate to become a qualified professional and a well-rounded individual. Degrees and Certifications
Accounting (Associate Degree)
The Associate of Applied Business Degree in Accounting emphasizes accounting principles and applications both by hand and on the computer. Graduates will be prepared for entry-level employment as payroll clerks, accounts receivable specialists and income tax clerks. With additional work experience and/or training, they may qualify for advancement to such positions as account managers, accountants and finance managers.
Dental Assisting (Associate Degree)
Dental assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. They work chair side as dentists examine and treat patients. They make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair, prepare them for treatment, and obtain their dental records. Assistants hand instruments and materials to dentists and keep patients? mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices. Assistants also sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, prepare trays of instruments for dental procedures, and instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
Interior Design (Associate Degree)
The Associate of Applied Business Degree in Interior Design prepares students for jobs in this challenging and exciting profession. It is a field of great creativity whereby all types of interior spaces can be manipulated or altered to form stimulating and functional areas in which to live, work and play. Graduates will be prepared for entry-level employment as freelance designers, design studio or design service consultants and design sales representatives. Job projects can be residential, commercial or institutional. Working environments range from department and furniture stores, design centers, art and accessory dealerships, architectural firms, construction firms, showrooms and large corporations, and film industry set design. An extensive course of instruction is necessary for entering this expanding profession. Educational emphasis is placed on the ability to express clients? wishes through space usage and color, shape, texture and fit of furnishings.
Legal Assisting (Associate Degree)
The Associate of Applied Business Degree in Legal Assisting emphasizes software proficiency, business skills and basic legal classes. Graduates will be prepared for entry-level employment in positions such as legal assistants and administrative assistants in a legal environment. With additional work experience and/or training, they may qualify for advancement to such positions as legal research assistants and paralegals.
Massage Therapy (Associate Degree)
The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Massage Therapy prepares students for entry-level positions in the exciting field of massage therapy. Graduates may enter their career field in a variety of settings including private practices, sports venues, spas, health clubs, hotels and resorts. The massage therapy program stresses personal development as well as communication skills to ready graduates for all aspects of a successful career including therapeutic massage techniques and ethical responsibility. Successful completion of this program will prepare the student to take the Ohio State licensing examination in massage therapy.
Medical Assisting (Clinical) (Associate Degree)
The Associate Degree of Applied Business in Business Office Technology with an emphasis in Medical Assisting program is designed to provide students with skills necessary to work side by side with physicians. Career choices include entry-level positions such as medical assistant, pharmacy technician, medical secretary, laboratory technician, medical biller, phlebotomist, clinical assistant, insurance claim representative, medical office manager, and other general medical and clerical jobs. Hands-on clinical training in vital signs, physical exams, EKG lead placement, venipuncture, urinalysis, and medication administration will enable medical assistants to assist physicians and other members of health care teams. Administrative training such as word processing, medical office procedures, and advanced computer classes along with pharmacology, and public speaking will enable graduates to enter the medical workforce with enhanced clerical skills.

The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Health Information Technology-Medical Coding prepares students for careers in the ever-changing medical records profession. Students gain more in-depth knowledge of medical coding through intense, hands-on courses in addition to a medical coding externship. Graduates will be prepared for employment as professional coders in hospitals, physicians? offices, outpatient care centers, insurance firms and public health departments.
Medical Transcription (Associate Degree)
The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Health Information Technology- Medical Transcription prepares students for careers in medical transcription through detailed hands-on transcription courses and a medical transcription externship. Students gain the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in this fast-paced, competitive field. Graduates will be prepared for entry-level employment as medical transcriptionists in hospitals, physicians? offices, laboratories and outpatient care centers.
