I'm enrolled at Colorado Technical University online also known as CTU has anyone else heard of this school or attended and did they like this school or find problems. The tuition for my first year is around 14,000 and some change for AAS in Health Care Administration that over priced or decent? Please let me know.
However, I'm not looking to attend a Community College-looking for an adult program 8 weeks long each session. I've tried a few different schools and any suggestions on other schools?
Top Answer:
That's way overpriced for an AAS. Community colleges offer the same degrees for $1000-$3000 per year.
I am debating on attending colorado technical university online for a bachelor's in IT-Security or Networking. Does anyone have feedback?
Top Answer:
It's just another worthless and expensive for-profit school that gets no respect from knowledgeable employers.
ADDED
There is nothing expert about "thedegreexperts.com". It's just another cynical commercial website for harvesting and selling e-mail addresses.
I wish to join some online degree college to do my masters. which is the best and cheap institution to do this? I was looking specifically at Colorado Technical University Online for this, but any other good institution will also do.
Top Answer:
It all depends on what you want to do your masters in.
Most schools these days offer some sort of on-line/distance learning program. You just have to search the schools your interested in to find which ones have what your looking for.
anyone gone there? Good online school? how do the majority of employers feel about that school?
Top Answer:
They all think it's fabulous!
Have completed an Associates at Kaplan University in Healthcare Management and want to further with a Bachelors in the same; however after issues with Kaplan I'd like to be as free of issues as possible with my next venture.
Top Answer:
No :) Please AVOID those private overly priced For-profit schools such as colorado tech, kaplan and U of P as they are merely out to "make a profit" (and their course credits usually do NOT transfer to other schools).
These consumer sites have a lot of negative posts by former students about those for-profit schools including colorado tech, and please heed the students' warnings:

- http://www.complaintsboard.com and can search.
Please instead consider the more affordable community college and/or state/public university as long as the program is accredited within the industry.

I am already going to American Military University right now for my BA in Criminal Justice, I have been thinking about switching to Colorado Technical University online. What are the pros and cons between the two?
Next question is what would be other great online colleges?
Top Answer:
Unfortunately, I am unable to provide any information about Colorado Technical University because I am not familiar with their program. However, I am very familiar with AMU. I am currently doing my Masters degree in Criminal Justice and I am very pleased with the school. The professors have real world experience in the topics they teach. To me it is more important than just having the text knowledge. They are thorough in their lessons and often share their experiences. Also, like Walter mentioned, you are networking and opening doors for your career. You will have to open new doors if you decide to switch schools. The AMU is tailored for the working professional and they understand when something unexpected happens. Hope this helps.

I was just wondering if anyone can tell me good or bad things about CTU online college. I'm thinking of enrolling but a little scared about colleges online. Is it true employers won't hire you if you get your degree online?
Top Answer:
CTU online is a wonderful college to get your online degree. My brother recently completed his online bachelor degree in criminal justice from here and is working as a law enforcement officer. His personal experience has been really good. The faculty was available 24*7 to solve the queries and was also there to help on weekends. Round the clock support helped him study whenever he wanted to. This enabled him to complete his degree in less time. Since CTU online is an accredited university, the degree he got was genuine, just like the one you get when doing the course traditionally. And employers give preference to the persons who have obtained their degree from an accredited university.
My brother had approached CTU online through http://www.thedegreeexperts.com/uv-colorado-technical-university-11.aspx and got an instant response from the university.

Has anyone ever heard of Colorado Technical University Online. I was thinking about attending the online school and I,m wondering if it is a good choice?
Top Answer:
I would steer clear of any online, for-profit school such as that one, university of phoenix, strayer u and instead look at major colleges and uni's that offer online courses. Former students of u of phoenix started this site: http://www.uopsucks.com
CO tech university is posted about by former students at http://www.ripoffreport.com and just search that school.

PS If anyone has opinions about similar programs I would love to hear them.
Top Answer:
I earned my MBA through American Intercontinental Univ., which is part of the same company as CTU. I was very pleased with the level of education that I received and would strongly recommend an institution of higher learning of such quality.
There are also many other traditional universities offering degrees that can be earned through online methods. Good luck on your search!

COLORADO TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY ONLINE (CTU) claims that they provide a great program. However they will keep having you take the same classes over and over. They are money grubbers! DON'T TAKE ANY CLASSES WITH CTU ONLINE. What do you think?
Top Answer:
Did you know that Colorado Technical University Online has been having some problems with actually teaching students and not just taking their money. CTU Online has another online university under their umbrella called AIU Online. Have you heard of them? I understand what you are going through CTU Online/AIU Online has done the same thing to me. Towards the end of my MBA program they gave me an F for my final grade when I was expected to graduate. I had to take the class over 2x. I had the same answers for both classes. They are rip offs.
