College Profile for: Rescue College
Rescue College was established in 1998 as the Internet-based distance education training program of the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions, based in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2008, the association deeded the college to TechMission and it was renamed "City Vision College." Still, the mission and vision of the college, along with curriculum, faculty, and administration has stayed essentially the same. The AGRM was established in 1913 as the "International Union of Gospel Missions" and is made up of 300 rescue missions and other inner city ministries. Preparing Christian workers for services has always been a major focus of the association with both the "On the Job" training program and the Leadership Training Program operating from the mid 40's.
