Did You Know? In this age of political correctness, the University of Arkansas uses the nickname “Hogs” for both its male and female teams.
I have to decide between Univ of Central Arkansas, Univ of Arkansas- Fort Smith, Arkansas Tech University. And I think Univ of Arkansas is on the list too, but it may cost too much.
I want to double major in accounting and chemistry, which one of those colleges are the best (excluding Univ of Arkansas)
Thanks!

Although U of A is probably the best in what you have listed, University of Central Arkansas would probably be the best.. It is definitely a good little school.. Have you looked at John Brown? Its a pretty good school too..
However, none of these match up to U of A

I have a small pomeranian and plan on taking her with me when i move out. I am definitely going to college and will most likely attend one in the state of Arkansas and live in a dorm. What colleges allow pets in their dorms?
Top Answer:
I have never heard of any college that allows pets (aside from fish). There are quite a few reasons why:
1. Allergies. You don't know who will live on your floor and if they are allergic to pets.
2. Messes. There is a cleaning staff, but they will not clean up after your pet.
3. Noise. Especially when you're in class and your pet is in your room. Residents may be sleeping or trying to study and there would be no one to stop her from barking without breaking into your room.
4. Liability. You may have the friendliest dog in the world. But if they allow you to have a pet, then anyone can have a pet and someone may bring a pet that harms a resident.

I live in Arkansas, Im a junior in high school and Im thinking about going to college. Im not that great at math so Im probally going to major in something without that much math. I want a college that has a lot of majors to choose from. If you could give me the name of the college and a website that would be great.

Harding College, in Searcy, gets a high "B" rating from the ACTA Education Foundation for "comprehensive general education." The university has a Christian focus, but offers a wide range of degrees.
Also ranked with a "B" is University of Arkansas—Fayetteville.

I"m in high school right now and I'm going to graduate this year. I want to learn Japanese and I'm wondering if their are any colleges around Northwest Arkansas, specifically in Rogers or Bentonville maybe Fayetteville, that offer Japanese classes.
Top Answer:
I'm pretty sure UALR does!
I currently attend University of the Ozarks and was wondering if there were others around.
Top Answer:
Central Baptist College in Conway, AR
Harding University in Searcy, AR
Ouchita Baptist in Arkadelphia, AR
These are the only colleges I know of that are religious based in Arkansas....CBC is really small though...I go to college at UCA and the campus looks like a high school campus compared to UCA. OBU is a pretty campus though and I only hear good things about Harding.
Need to know, please help.

I found info on the following colleges/universities with programs in Japan:
University of Arkansas, Fayetteville
http://studyabroad.uark.edu/
Arkansas State Univ. (The univ. has study abroad programs, but I didn't find mention of any single location. I recommend you talk with a real person at the univ.)

University of Central Arkansas (Did not find anything specific about Japan. You would need to talk with a real person.)
http://www.uca.edu/studyabroad/
Southern Arkansas Univ. (The link wasn't working for me, so I couldn't verify the info. I recommend talking on the phone with a real person in the Admissions Office.)
http://web.saumag.edu
University of Arkansas, Fort Smith (The May 2010 study abroad program doesn't list Japan, but I recommend you talk on the phone with a real person about the future program plans.)

Univ. of Arkansas, Little Rock (I didn't see Japan listed as a location, but I recommend you talk with a real person about any future plans.)

Im deciding between University of Central-Conway (closest to my current home town & OK Pre-Vet Program), University of Arkansas-Fayetteville (2nd closest & better Pre-Vet program), or Arkansas State University-Jonesboro (farthest & good Pre-Vet program).
Which city & college are best? Descriptions would be helpful!
The college that is closest to me and HAS a Pre-Vet program sucks! In this Pre-Vet, you only learn about agricultural business...something Im very NOT interested in.
I want a college that teaches me about domestic animals....or in Conway's case---mainly biology classes.

I graduated from the U of A in Fayetteville. I loved it. It is a good school with the best college atmosphere in Arkansas. I am sure you would be happy there.

I heard at Baptist has an accelerated program for RN's. Is there one for doctors? How long is it and how much does it cost? Thanks so much!! (:
Top Answer:
The shortest program I know of to become a doctor is the BS/MD program at the University of Missouri. That's 6 years. Most BS/MD programs are 7-8 years, and the two degrees separately are 8 years. Then you've still got 3+ years of residency. Sorry, there's no rushing becoming a doctor.
