I have already been accepted into the University of Idaho, but I am just making sure that I am getting into the best school that I can for a computer engineering major. I am looking at public colleges or universities, not private schools like the College of Idaho because I don't really have a lot of money to throw around, and I am still waiting for scholarship news. Are there any suggestions or advice that you could help me out with?
Top Answer:
IMO, U Idaho is the strongest engineering and tech school in your state, and you've done well by getting in there. While you study, do co-ops/internships to gain real world work experience. That, plus your degree, will help you get a good job when you come out.

I'm planning on taking distance ed. Nursing 102 online through Brigham Young University and I was wondering if those credits would be transferable to Nursing programs at other colleges outside of Idaho. Particularly George Fox Univ. in OR, Washington State Univ. in WA, and Colorado Springs Univ. in CO.
If anyone has done this themselves or knows anything about it please let me know!
Thanks! :)
Top Answer:
I think it will still be credited.
Inquire, call those universities.

I'm trying to find some colleges that my brother could get accepted into. I'm not really looking for community colleges because I've already got a list of those and the colleges suggested must have dorms available. He is an African American male, with a 2.6 GPA, an SAT score of 1200 (writing-360, critical reading-410, math-430) and is a member of his high school track and field team. Any suggestions would be great, thank you!

Hello, I had some questions about the community College of Southern Idaho
If I get an associate's degree does that mean that I can only transfer to a real college so to speak, in Idaho? Or can I transfer to other colleges? Thank you, and have a nice day!
Top Answer:
You can transfer from CSI to any four-year school you choose. Whether your credits transfer and how they transfer it depends on the policies of the university to which you are transferring. CSI has articulation agreements with all 4-year public universities in the state which in general means that if you graduate from CSI, you will not have to take general education courses at the university. Many universities outside Idaho accept credits earned at community colleges. They may have limits on the number of credits students can transfer and credits may not transfer as major requirements but generally they transfer as general education requirements or electives. It is important to contact the university to which you intend to transfer early on to find out about their transfer policy, send them a link to the CSI online catalog, and ask how credits earned at CSI will transfer.

Top Answer:
Do you want it near Idaho, Nevada, Utah and Arizona or do you in those states.
How much is reasonable???
University of Nevada is going to be about 13,700 for tuition and $8400 for room and board per year. And that is cheap.
University of Utah-$15,000 tuition $6000 room and board.
Arizona State University-$17,700 tuition. $8800 room and board. Most colleges require freshman to live on campus in a dorm. Off campus and greek living will defer in price from area to area.
You can google any of these colleges or just 'colleges in AZ" for a list of all in each state.
