The only two I would recommend are UNM in Albuquerque and NMSU in Las Cruces.
Western NMU in Silver City is great for careers in the mining industry.

My friend seems to be confident that they do. Keep in mind that this is a scholarship that is supposed to apply to those attending New Mexico Colleges and Universities and it will pay all of your tuition. Is there any truth to this, because I can't find anything online connecting the two and I'm very concerned for her???
Top Answer:
According to the website you have to be attending a post-secondary university in New Mexico. So, no, she wouldn't be able to use it at CSU.

in particular: University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, or that one in Socorro
cmon ppl, give details, like what makes it so good? (and wtf is st. johns?)
Top Answer:
The University of New Mexico is clearly the best, followed by New Mexico State University. There don't seem to be any others that anyone outside of New Mexico would have heard of, so your choices are limited.

I am looking for a good, somewhat small college in Arizona or New Mexico. I currently attend a college with about 4,000 students in a different state. I want to find a college about the same size in one of these two states. But I don't know where to begin, not being from or near either one.
Any suggestions?
Top Answer:
Unfortunately, your choices are pretty limited. This list is from collegeboard.com's College Search, with the search limited to 4-year schools in Arizona and New Mexico with enrollment between 2,000 and 15,000 (their predefined range):
Eastern New Mexico University
Portales, New Mexico
Grand Canyon University
Phoenix, Arizona
New Mexico State University
Las Cruces, New Mexico
New Mexico State is much larger than your current school (13,000+) and Grand Canyon is predominantly part-time students.
Top Answer:
The best two are the University of Arizona and Arizona State.
I specifically exclude St. John's from this list.
